About The Founder Janet Shaughnessy

Janet Shaughnessy is the founder of Transcribe Anywhere and owner of Zoom Transcription Services. After running Zoom Transcription for more than two decades and providing training to general, legal, and medical transcriptionists, she recognized the need for comprehensive, accessible, and real-world education in the field. Drawing on her extensive experience, Janet launched Transcribe Anywhere — an award-winning online training platform designed to equip aspiring transcriptionists with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to build successful, flexible careers.

Kevin Stewart joined the Transcribe Anywhere team in 2023. A proud U.S. Army veteran and active member of the Air National Guard, Kevin brings dedication, discipline, and strong leadership to every aspect of his work. As CEO, he oversees the company’s day-to-day operations and is passionate about empowering others to build flexible and fulfilling careers, Kevin takes great pride in supporting aspiring transcriptionists on their path to success and helping them create meaningful work-from-anywhere opportunities.

Jennifer joined the Transcribe Anywhere team in 2023 after completing both the General and Legal Transcription courses. Her journey into transcription began during the COVID era, when she transitioned from her career as a nutrition counselor in search of greater flexibility and work-life balance. After discovering transcription, Jennifer quickly developed a passion for the field and soon began working full time as a legal transcriptionist. As an Instructor with Transcribe Anywhere, she now draws on her own experience to guide and encourage students, helping them build confidence and achieve their own transcription goals.

Cynthia joined the Transcribe Anywhere team in 2020 as an Administrative Assistant and has since become an essential part of the company’s operations. Over the years, she has taken on expanded responsibilities that support both students and internal processes. Passionate about helping others discover the freedom and flexibility of a transcription career, Cynthia takes pride in being part of a team dedicated to empowering individuals to succeed. In her role as Executive Assistant, she manages behind-the-scenes operations, coordinates affiliate relations, and assists prospective students in learning more about Transcribe Anywhere’s training programs, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for everyone she works with.
